Monday, January 26th 2026 Lenovo Lists Legion 7 15ASH11 Model - ID Implies Presence of AMD Strix Halo APU by T0@st Today, 11:20 Discuss (0 ) Last week, a Lenovo Legion Space support page inadvertently contained several unreleased new product model identifiers—most notably NVIDIA N1-series SoC-powered IdeaPad, Yoga, and Legion laptops/notebooks. Hours later—post-discovery by web sleuths and press outlets—the computer manufacturing giant scrubbed this pre-launch information away from public view. When examining preserved evidence, keen-eyed detectives noticed an outlier within Lenovo's list of not-yet-released portable devices. Over the weekend, speculation has connected the leaked Legion 7 15ASH11 model ID to a possible leveraging of an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ mobile processor. It is believed that Lenovo's ASH designation refers to Strix Halo APUs—signalling an unusual forthcoming deployment in a gaming laptop format. So far, the flagship Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip and its underlings have mainly turned up in mini desktop systems and handheld gaming PCs. Until very recently, ASUS seemed to have exclusive access rights within a modern slim portable personal computer design; last year's ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet. This past weekend, VideoCardz has highlighted the Taiwanese manufacturer's updating of their TUF Gaming A14 range for 2026. One example, based on Team Red's Ryzen AI MAX+ 392 APU, was showcased at CES. This newer Strix Halo sub-flagship seems to perform admirably, when compared to a prominent past-gen AMD desktop processor. Last week's bountiful Legion Space leak did not include any major spec points regarding the mysterious Legion 7 15-inch ASH11 variant. Historically and currently, this product tier (normally) packages a mobile processor with a dedicated laptop-oriented NVIDIA or AMD GPU. The best Ryzen AI Max+ models pack Team Red's very capable Radeon 8060S integrated graphics solution—around its launch period, this RDNA 3.5-based iGPU was mainly compared to Team Green's GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop card. Coincidentally, rumors of Gorgon Halo have emerged within the last couple of days—this refinement of Strix Halo tech could arrive later on in the year.
