Microsoft has announced that the long-awaited visual refresh to Xbox Achievements is now available to Xbox Insiders. The team has given achievement notifications an overhaul with a new look and feel, including updated icons and animations for classic and rare achievements. Notifications will also match the player's chosen color, making each achievement feel more personal. The ability to set up a custom color was introduced last month to Xbox Insiders, who can now create their own unique color. They can use the sliders to adjust the hue and shade until they've found the perfect color. They'll also see a subtle splash of your chosen color in their guide, which can be turned off at any time by going to Settings > General > Personalization> Customize the guide. More changes are coming soon to Xbox Achievements, including the ability to hide games from a player's own achievements list. Whether the player wants a cleaner look or simply wishes to highlight what matters most to them, this feature gives them control over their profile. Of course, it only affects how the profile appears; hidden games will still count towards the total Gamerscore, and the activity in these games will still be reported across Xbox. This feature will begin rolling out to Xbox Insiders later in April. Lastly, once a player has earned all the available Gamerscore for a title, it will be highlighted in their Xbox Achievements list, making all that hard work easier to spot. This provides a quick, at-a-glance way to celebrate full completion. The Xbox team also added new filter options to this view, making it easier to find the fully completed games alongside any titles that have been hidden. Microsoft stressed that this is a small but meaningful step towards broader improvements to Achievements. The team is currently exploring new ways to recognize completion and milestone moments.
