Players of Warframe are now encountering a more balanced version of the recently introduced ‘Follie’s Hunt’ game mode after rapid community backlash. The update, rolled out within days of its launch alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 release, marks one of the fastest responses to player feedback in the title’s history.

At the heart of the changes is a redesign of key mechanics that had drawn criticism for being overly punitive. Follie, the mode’s central antagonist, no longer remains invulnerable indefinitely; sustained damage can force her into brief retreats, altering the strategic depth without removing the challenge. Her damaging aura has also been reduced by one-third on standard and higher difficulty paths, while Inky Walls—previously a source of frustration for their knock-down effect—no longer impose that penalty.

Resource scarcity was another major pain point. The update increases Atramentum rewards from five to fifteen per mission, reduces the number of balloons players must destroy to collect them, and makes these balloons more visible. Additionally, Atramentum pickups are now shared among squad members, addressing a significant economic hurdle for cooperative play.

Beyond these core adjustments, the patch introduces minor but noticeable improvements such as better lighting in Vesper Relay and waypoint refinements to guide players toward active Canvases more efficiently. The developer has stated that further iterations will follow based on ongoing player feedback, signaling a shift from one-off fixes to continuous refinement.

What this means for players is a game mode that retains its intended design—one that deviates from standard Warframe gameplay with deliberate intensity—but does so without the level of frustration that prompted widespread complaints. The update serves as a reminder that even in established franchises, rapid adaptation to player needs can reshape the experience before it becomes ingrained.
