The Girl in Resident Evil: Requiem is not just another jump-scare. She is a deliberate obstacle, a shadow that forces players to rethink movement, light, and patience. The moment she bursts through the Nurse’s Station door, the layout shifts—her presence alters the path forward. To proceed, Grace must exploit her aversion to light and her predictable patrol route, turning fear into a tactical advantage.
Stealth is possible but punishing; one misstep resets the chase. A faster solution exists: bait The Girl into a pursuit, then vanish through the newly formed breach in the wall. This small window—created by her own assault—becomes the key to bypassing her entirely. The challenge lies not just in evasion, but in timing: too soon and she follows; too late and the fuse remains unreachable.
How to Outplay The Girl
The sequence begins after retrieving the screwdriver from the Nurse’s Station. The objective shifts to Room 201, where a fuse waits behind a locked gate. The Girl appears without warning, smashing through the door and leaving a gaping hole in the wall. She retreats when exposed to light but will return if left unchecked.
- Run back to Grace’s starting room; she cannot follow you there.
- Lure her toward the Nurse’s Station by moving just beyond her line of sight.
- When she chases, sprint through the hole in the wall and down the corridor to Room 201.
If The Girl anticipates the trick, she may intercept you at the breach. In that case, turn back immediately and retrace your steps to the corridor entrance. From there, dash past her and into the room by the horse statue—she will not pursue if you remain in motion.
A secondary option is to wait mid-corridor in a hidden nook. When she patrols toward the statue, slip past unseen. This method demands stillness; any movement risks detection.
Once the fuse is secured, the lights dim and The Girl becomes active again. Progress requires inserting the fuse into the gate immediately upon leaving Room 201. Delaying this step forces a return trip, resetting the tension without advancing the narrative.
