Starting February 3, 2026, HITMAN World of Assassination will introduce a cross-progression system that allows players to seamlessly transfer their in-game progress across various platforms. This feature, enabled through the IOI Account, ensures continuity for players whether they switch from console to PC or use multiple devices.

Cross-progression will store player data online and sync experience levels, challenges, location mastery, unlocks, inventory, achievements, and Freelancer Mode progression across linked platforms. Players must own specific content on each platform to access it, as DLC-based unlocks and user-created contracts are not shared.

HITMAN World of Assassination Introduces Cross-Platform Progression System

Old save games created on non-primary linked accounts will not be loadable while cross-progression is active. Players can disable the feature at any time to revert to their previous state and regain access to older saves. Additionally, a Steam patch (3.250.1) will deploy next week to ensure smooth functionality ahead of the February 3 launch.

To enable cross-progression, players must first complete the HITMAN 2 to HITMAN 3 carryover process by February 3, 2026. After this date, the legacy progression system will no longer be available, preventing conflicts with the new unified WOA progression.

This update reflects IO Interactive's commitment to providing a cohesive and uninterrupted gaming experience for HITMAN World of Assassination players across more than ten supported platforms.
