A developer assembling a high-end workstation now has more options to balance performance, noise, and thermal efficiency. HAVN’s latest power supply units (PSUs) and cases, unveiled at Computex, push the boundaries of what’s possible with ATX 3.1 compliance while introducing a collaboration that merges automotive design with PC aesthetics.

The new XR series PSUs, available in 1000 W and 1200 W capacities, are built around an ultra-stable +12 V rail capable of delivering up to 600 W. Both units meet 80 Plus Platinum efficiency standards for switching performance and Cybenetics Platinum A++ ratings for acoustics, ensuring load noise remains at or below 15 dBA. The 5 Vsb rail domain operates at 84% efficiency to minimize vampire power, a feature that could be particularly valuable in long-running server environments.

A key innovation is the integration of transient response and excursion tolerances that exceed ATX 3.1 specifications, providing headroom for modern high-power GPUs like NVIDIA’s upcoming N1X platform. The PSUs also feature a large 135 mm fan with shark-edged blades, designed to maintain low noise levels even under sustained loads.

On the case front, HAVN has reimagined its HS 420 mid-tower design with the HS 360—a more compact version that is 29.5% lighter and 19.4% smaller in volume. Despite its reduced footprint, it retains support for ATX motherboards with backside connectivity, a pillarless front-left edge, and a seamless tempered glass panel. The internal layout is optimized for airflow, with the PSU bay positioned at the bottom front and additional exhaust fan space below the motherboard tray. A perforated right side panel complements the design.

HAVN and Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Unveil High-Performance PC Components at Computex

For users prioritizing vertical GPU installation, HAVN offers the HS 360 VGPU variant, which includes five vertically oriented expansion slots paired with a PCIe riser cable for better cable management and display.

The most striking addition is the HS 420 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition, an officially licensed collaboration that extends beyond branding to incorporate elements like grommets, sheet metal, and carbon fiber drive bay finishes. The special edition’s design cues—such as the distinct color scheme and badging—are directly inspired by the F1 team’s signature aesthetic, making it a standout for enthusiasts who value both performance and visual identity.

While the XR series PSUs and HS 360 lineup address practical concerns like efficiency and thermal management, the Mercedes-AMG collaboration serves as a reminder that form and function are no longer mutually exclusive in high-performance PC hardware. Developers upgrading to support next-gen platforms like N1X will find tangible benefits in HAVN’s focus on power delivery stability, but those expecting immediate overclocking gains should note that real-world performance will depend on how well these components integrate with future CPU and GPU architectures.

For now, the new PSUs and cases represent a step forward in modularity, efficiency, and design cohesion. Whether for workstations demanding DDR5-9200 memory or gaming rigs pushing 1200 W loads, HAVN’s latest offerings position themselves at the intersection of precision engineering and premium aesthetics.
