Gamers building or upgrading systems for the most demanding titles now have a clearer path to future-proof performance, thanks to Silicon Power’s latest XPower memory and SSD lineup.

The centerpiece is a new line of DDR5-6000 memory modules certified for ASUS ROG platforms. These kits feature ultra-low-latency EXPO profiles and support for ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting, allowing users to sync effects across compatible hardware via the Armoury Crate software. The range includes 16 GB (2x8 GB), 32 GB (2x16 GB), 48 GB (2x24 GB), and 64 GB (2x32 GB) configurations, with speeds extending up to DDR5-8000 in other variants. Latency spans from CL28 to CL40, and operating voltages sit between 1.35 V and 1.45 V.

On the storage front, Silicon Power introduces the XS90 M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD, available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities. The 1 TB model delivers sequential read speeds up to 14.3 GB/s with write speeds reaching 10.5 GB/s, while the larger 2 TB and 4 TB variants push write performance to 13.4 GB/s. Although the exact controller isn’t disclosed, the SSD incorporates DRAM cache for improved responsiveness.

Silicon Power Expands High-Performance Storage and Memory Lineup for Gamers

These products address two critical bottlenecks in high-end gaming systems: memory bandwidth, which directly impacts frame rates in modern titles, and storage latency, which reduces load times and improves overall system fluidity. The DDR5 kits ensure compatibility with platforms demanding ultra-low latency, while the Gen 5 SSD provides a significant leap over current Gen 4 drives.

Looking ahead, the combination of these components could become standard for systems targeting NVIDIA’s upcoming N1X platform, which is expected to push bandwidth requirements even further. Gamers and content creators will benefit most from this lineup, as it aligns with the performance thresholds of next-generation hardware without overcommitting to features that may not yet be fully utilized.
