Because Office 2019 cannot be updated to the required version, this issue cannot be resolved by updating or reinstalling Office 2019 for Mac." Interestingly, Microsoft's new stated policy represents an about-face from an earlier assurance back in October 2023, when it had declared: "Rest assured that all your Office 2019 apps will continue to function." Even on a more elevated, philosophical plane, Microsoft's abrupt volte-face does not make much sense.
