Warhorse Studios has expressed frustration with the constant scrutiny. The studio previously stated they were “fed up” with being drawn into culture wars and simply wanted to focus on creating a compelling game experience. However, when Martin Klíma, co-founder and executive producer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, discussed the sequel’s potential for earning PC Gamer's Game of the Year award in 2025, he was pressed about whether these controversies had any real-world impact.
