The first minor update to Craftlings, a retro-inspired strategy game, has been rolled out to resolve two key problems for Steam Deck users without disrupting the broader player base.

The patch, version 1.0.3, corrects a bug that prevented the ladder control from registering when using the B button on the Steam Deck’s input layout. Additionally, it eliminates an occasional frame-skipping artifact that appeared at three-times normal speed, ensuring smoother gameplay across all devices.

No other systems—Windows PC, consoles, or mobile—are impacted by these changes; the adjustments were targeted solely to improve deck compatibility and fluidity for players who prefer faster pacing. The update is already live on Steam and does not require manual installation; it will be applied automatically when users launch the game.

Developers emphasize that the patch does not alter core mechanics, maps, or content. Players can continue to explore the game’s production-chain puzzles, resource-gathering challenges, and multiplayer arenas without interruption. A Discord server remains open for community feedback and leaderboard tracking, with special roles available for top-ranked players.

This is the first patch since the game’s January 16th launch; no further updates are scheduled at this time. Players who encounter any additional issues are advised to submit bug reports through Steam’s built-in tools rather than through third-party forums or social media channels, ensuring consistent tracking and resolution.
