The program, which began on January 7 and will conclude on April 30, offers Chinese users a 50 percent discount on battery replacements for the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The cost has been reduced from the standard price of 729 Yuan ($104.48) to just 399 Yuan ($57.19). This discount represents a notable departure from Apple’s usual pricing strategy, particularly when compared to recent changes in other regions.
In contrast, battery replacements for iPhone 16 models in the U.S. were increased to $119 in September 2024, up from $99. Meanwhile, the base iPhone 17 remains available for replacement at $99, while the Pro and Pro Max variants are priced at $119. Recent data indicates that Apple sold approximately 15.57 million units of iPhone 17 variants in China by the end of December 2025. Additionally, Apple’s market share in China reached a quarter of all smartphone sales during October, a milestone last achieved in 2022.
